About Me

Hello! My name is Heidi. I am a psychologist licensed in MA, NY, and RI with extensive experience providing evidence-based and trauma-informed care to children, adolescents and adults. I utilize an integrative, relational approach that blends cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with attachment-focused work, helping individuals gain insight into patterns while developing effective, practical coping strategies.
My therapeutic style is defined by supportive challenge — helping you step outside of your own perspective while ensuring you feel deeply cared for. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment that fosters trust. Through a blend of humor, validation, and compassionate regard, I will help you make sense of difficult experiences and create a roadmap for meaningful change. Ultimately, I focus on getting to know you and your needs. This tailored approach is effective for a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting struggles, self-esteem issues, relationship and family concerns, school-related difficulties, bereavement, career and life transitions.
While I work with individuals across the lifespan struggling with a wide range of difficulties, I specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults, perinatal women, and parents. It is my goal to help individuals and families regain balance, confidence and a renewed sense of self as they move through life’s more tender and transformative moments.
A bit about me: I grew up in Vancouver Canada and received my undergraduate degree at McGill University. Being a dual citizen, I moved to New York City where I pursued my doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Fordham University. Prior to completing my predoctoral training at Elmhurst Hospital Center/Mt. Sinai Services, I worked in many different clinical capacities, including college counseling centers, child/adolescent and adult inpatient and outpatient settings, schools, partial hospitalization programs, primary care clinics and psychiatric emergency rooms. Across these diverse treatment settings, I have received extensive training in multiple evidence-based approaches. Prior to starting my own private practice, I was the Director of Training and a staff psychologist at a group practice in New York City.
